What you're getting
This LEGO City set puts together a proper off-road truck with working bits you'd actually want — storage bins that open, a bonnet that flips to reveal a snorkel, and a winch that actually works. You get a decent haul of accessories too: first-aid kit, tools, binoculars, camera, compass, and map, so there's plenty for your child to fiddle with and build stories around.
The building itself isn't a slog. Use the LEGO Builder app if you fancy it — it's got 3D views and tracks your progress, which takes the stress out of whether you've lost a piece or just forgotten where you were. Works just as well without it, mind you.
It's the sort of set that'll keep them occupied for ages, and it genuinely does help with fine motor skills and spatial awareness without feeling like you're sneaking learning into playtime. Solid choice if you've got a young one who's into vehicles.
