Designed and made by Tender Leaf Toys, this is a plastic-free tinker tray that does proper open-ended play. You get 49 individual forest floor pieces—pebbles, rocks, cone trees, twigs, a snail, a moth, toadstools, leaves, acorns, beetles, tunnel pieces, and a bird's egg—all ready for sorting, organising, and stacking.

The compartment walls come out, so you can empty the box and fill it with sand to build whatever scene your child dreams up. The sliding lid flips over to become a chalkboard for drawing your own forest floor. It's the kind of toy that grows with your child's imagination rather than telling them what to do with it.
