That snout's the real showstopper with a wild boar — there's a cartilaginous disk at the end, backed by a small bone called the prenasal, which basically turns the whole thing into a natural bulldozer when it's rooting about for food. All wild boars have tusks on their lower lips, but the males are the ones with the proper impressive set — they curve upwards and stick right out of the mouth, which is where you'll spot the real difference from the females.
